This hare tanned pelt are from Hare from wild parts of Romania. Our hare are known in entire East Europe region for quality of the skin and hair due the heavy Winters with lot of snow. In these situation our wild hares have a very rich fur to resist to to our cold Winters. -25 Celsius degrees are common in Romania so you can imagine how nice is the fur from animals here. For this reason we sell only skins received from our local hunters. Our Hare Pelts are checked and tanned and carefully cut to offer the best parts to all our fly tying friends.

Hare Fur Details:

• pelts rich of winter fur in size 7x10cm
• great material for making nymphs
• is the material used for well known Gold Ribbed Hare Nymph or Hare Emerger
• is used for bodies, tails, legs and even wings
• a must have tying material because can be used for all kind of flies and because is cheap!

We love this material because is perfect for all kind of flyes . We can make zonker strips because the skin is tanned. We can use the guard hair for making hackle because the guard hair is waterproof and  durable at fish teeth. Dry flies, wet flies can be tied with guard hair  and they really float fantastic well. The guard hair mixed with underfur represent a great source of high quality dubbing for making nymphs, dry flies or wet flies in the same time.
